Helping an online retailer digitize their wholesale business
A local small business tea company needed help finding out how to make their wholesale experience more scalable. At the time it required a lot of effort to collect, reconcile, and distribute wholesale orders, leading orders to fall through the cracks and impacting their efficiency.

Approach
Worked closely with the business owner to nail down the requirements for how the wholesale portal would work. Designed it from scratch and then procured a development team to build the custom Shopify application.
Result
A custom Shopify application that has helped the business process hundreds of wholesale orders- saving them hundreds of hours and processing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of revenue. Lessons : Working with the development team required me to QA what they built, provide requirements, and ultimately sign off when the end result met requirements. This was very tedious and a huge lesson in working with developers. I did this project as a trade-off. I would design this platform for the client if they provided me with loose leaf tea for me to distribute to guests at my wedding. Another lesson in managing clients and expectations.
