Helping a local jeweler improve their online presense
Our client was a small business located in Chagrin Falls who wanted to create a new digital storefront for their brand, with the ability to sell their own creations and customize creations. Their existing website was not useful and was poorly designed in Wordpress by an overpriced third party.

Approach
My recommendation was Squarespace, which would provide a clean and polished design, ripe with plenty of e-commerce features and plug-ins to help them meet their multi-faceted goals. I worked closely with the jeweler to understand their needs and co-designed the website with them until it was ready.
Result
A brand new website on squarespace with a product catalogue, scheduling system, and plug-in for helping prospective customers pick out diamonds and bands before arriving at the store. See: https://www.jacksongreyjewelers.com/ Lessons : This was my first independent job as a web designer and I really enjoyed putting my process into practice to design an elegant site. There were tons of lessons in process and designing for mobile and desktop and understanding e-commerce through Squarespace. This jeweler eventually went on to create my engagement ring and wedding bands, so this was a good lesson in maintaining rapport with clients.
